This Commenting Policy exists to keep discussions professional, safe, and useful for learners and medical professionals. This policy applies to comments and other interactive text features we enable (for example, blog comments). It is intended to be read together with our **Terms of Service**, **Acceptable Use Policy**, **Academic Integrity Policy**, **Privacy Policy**, and **Medical & Educational Disclaimer**. 2) Education only — no medical advice ------------------------------------- Comments are for education and discussion. **Do not treat comments as medical advice**. Do not use comments (or any part of the Service) to make decisions about diagnosis, treatment, or patient care. If you believe you or someone else may be experiencing a medical emergency, contact local emergency services immediately. 3) Do not share patient data or confidential information -------------------------------------------------------- You must not post or request: - Patient-identifiable information (including case details that could reasonably identify a person) - Medical records, images, or lab results that identify (or could identify) a patient - Confidential workplace or institutional information If you accidentally post such information, contact us promptly so we can remove it. 4) Be respectful and professional --------------------------------- You must: - Treat others with respect and professionalism - Disagree constructively without personal attacks - Avoid harassment, bullying, threats, or hateful content - Avoid profanity or sexually explicit content - Avoid impersonation or misrepresentation of credentials 5) Stay on topic and add value ------------------------------ Comments should be relevant to the page or discussion thread. Examples of good comments include: - Asking clarifying questions about the educational content - Offering constructive corrections (with context) - Sharing learning tips or study resources (non-promotional) 6) Prohibited content (not exhaustive) -------------------------------------- We may remove content that we believe (in our reasonable judgment) violates this policy or creates risk for users or the Service, including: - **Cheating / exam security violations**, including “recall” or leaked live exam questions, answers, or exam content - **Medical misinformation**, especially where it could create safety risk - **Spam and promotion**, including affiliate links and repetitive posting - **Illegal, harmful, or abusive content**, including malware links or instructions for wrongdoing - **Intellectual property infringement**, including copying copyrighted text, tables, or figures without permission - **Privacy violations**, including sharing personal data about others 7) Moderation and enforcement ----------------------------- We may (but are not obligated to) moderate comments. We may: - Remove, hide, or restrict comments - Lock threads or limit participation - Suspend or terminate accounts for repeated or serious violations We may also preserve records and disclose information when required to comply with law or to protect users and the Service. 8) Rate limits and technical controls ------------------------------------- To protect the Service and prevent spam, we may apply technical controls such as rate limits, content filters, automated abuse detection, and other safeguards. Limits may change over time. 9) Reporting and takedown requests ---------------------------------- If you see a comment that violates this policy, you can report it via our **Contact** page.
