 Last updated: Jan 15, 2026 • Version: 1.1.0

1) Overview
-----------

This Privacy Policy explains how **Anesthesia Zone, LLC** (d/b/a MDster) (“MDster”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses, discloses, and otherwise processes personal data when you use MDster.com and related services (the “Service”).

If you have questions, contact ****.

2) Definitions and scope
------------------------

- **Personal data** (or “personal information”) means information that identifies, relates to, describes, is reasonably capable of being associated with, or could reasonably be linked (directly or indirectly) with you or your household (as those terms may be defined under applicable law).
- This Privacy Policy applies to the Service and our related support, billing, and communications.
- Third-party sites and services (including payment processors, social login providers, and AI providers) may have their own privacy practices. If you use those services, their terms and privacy policies may apply.

3) What we collect
------------------

We collect information in the following categories:

### 3.1 Information you provide

- **Account data**: name, email, password (stored as a hash)
- **Profile data** you choose to provide (e.g., profile photo, bio/about)
- **Communications**: messages you send via the contact form or support channels
- **User content**: comments, study notes, question feedback, and other inputs you choose to submit

### 3.2 Social login data (if you use it)

If you sign up or sign in using a third-party authentication provider (such as Google), we may receive information associated with that provider account (for example your name, email address, profile photo URL, and an account identifier), subject to the permissions you grant and the provider’s settings.

### 3.3 Subscription and billing data

Payments are processed by **Stripe**. Stripe may collect and process payment method details.

We may receive and store limited billing-related information such as subscription status, customer identifiers, and limited payment metadata (e.g., last four digits and payment method type), as provided by Stripe.

### 3.4 Usage, learning, and analytics data

To provide learning features and measure performance, we may collect:

- Activity on the Service (pages visited, features used)
- Study performance signals (e.g., attempts, scores, time spent)
- Interactions such as ratings, bookmarks, and progress tracking

### 3.5 Device, log, and network data

We may collect:

- IP address
- Device and browser information (user agent, approximate location inferred from IP at a high level)
- Log data (timestamps, requested URLs, errors)

### 3.6 Cookies and similar technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies (and may also store preferences using local storage). See our Cookie Policy for details.

### 3.7 Information from other sources

We may receive information from other sources, including:

- Our service providers (for example, fraud and security providers, analytics providers, email delivery providers, and identity verification providers)
- Other users (for example, if someone reports content or contacts support about you)
- Public sources (for example, publicly available profile information)

We may combine information we collect from different sources.

4) Sensitive data and patient information
-----------------------------------------

The Service is for education only. The Service is **not designed to collect, store, or process protected health information** (“PHI”) or patient-identifiable information.

**Do not submit patient-identifiable information** or other sensitive health information to the Service (including to any AI feature or support chatbot). If you submit such information, you understand and agree that:

- You are responsible for that submission
- We may use, disclose, moderate, remove, or redact it to operate the Service, protect users, and enforce our policies
- We may suspend or terminate accounts to protect privacy and safety

5) How we use personal data
---------------------------

We use personal data to:

- Provide, operate, and maintain the Service
- Create and manage accounts and subscriptions
- Deliver learning features, including personalization based on performance
- Improve content quality and product performance
- Provide customer support and respond to inquiries
- Protect the Service (fraud prevention, abuse detection, security monitoring)
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our policies
- Market, advertise, and promote the Service (including by email or other channels, subject to your choices and applicable law)
- Create aggregated, de-identified, or anonymized data and use it for product improvement, analytics, research, and other lawful purposes

6) AI features and data processing
----------------------------------

Some features may use third-party AI providers (for example, **Google Gemini** and/or **OpenAI**) to process user inputs and generate outputs (e.g., scoring, feedback, content drafting, personalization, or support automation).

Depending on the feature, inputs sent to AI providers may include content you submit (such as answers, prompts, feedback, or other text). **Do not submit patient-identifiable information** or other sensitive data.

By using AI features, you instruct us to transmit your inputs to the AI provider(s) and to receive outputs back. AI providers may process and retain data according to their own policies and terms. We recommend reviewing our **AI Transparency Notice** for more information.

7) Legal bases (where applicable)
---------------------------------

Where required by applicable law (for example, in the EEA/UK), we process personal data based on one or more of the following:

- Performance of a contract (providing the Service you request)
- Legitimate interests (improving and securing the Service, preventing abuse)
- Consent (where required for certain optional technologies)
- Compliance with legal obligations

8) Sharing, disclosures, and “sales”/“sharing” (as defined by law)
------------------------------------------------------------------

We may disclose personal data for business and commercial purposes, and we may also “share” personal data as those terms are defined under certain privacy laws (for example, for cross-context behavioral advertising). Examples include disclosures to:

- **Service providers / processors** (such as payment processing, email delivery, hosting, analytics, security, AI processing, and error monitoring)
- **Advertising, marketing, and analytics partners** (including partners that use cookies or similar technologies to help measure campaigns, understand audiences, and personalize content and ads)
- **Affiliates and related entities** (for internal business purposes)
- **Other users and the public** when you choose to make information public or interact in public-facing areas (for example, comments, profile details you make visible, or content you submit to community features)
- **Compliance, legal, and safety** when we believe disclosure is appropriate to comply with law or lawful requests, protect our rights and property, enforce our Terms and policies, investigate or prevent fraud or security issues, or protect the safety of any person
- **Business transfers** if we are involved in an actual or proposed merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, bankruptcy, receivership, dissolution, sale of company assets, or transition of service to another provider
- **Professional advisors** (such as lawyers, auditors, and insurers) as needed to obtain advice or protect and manage the business
- **With your direction or consent** (for example, if you authorize us to share information with a third party)

We may also disclose aggregated, de-identified, or anonymized data (which may not be subject to privacy laws) for any lawful purpose.

9) Cookies, tracking, and online advertising
--------------------------------------------

We (and our partners) may use cookies, pixels, SDKs, local storage, and similar technologies to:

- Keep you signed in and maintain sessions
- Remember preferences and settings
- Measure performance, detect errors, and improve the Service
- Understand usage patterns and improve content and learning experiences
- Conduct marketing, analytics, and advertising activities, including interest-based advertising (where permitted by law)

Your ability to control cookies and tracking depends on your browser/device settings and applicable law. See our Cookie Policy for additional information.

10) International transfers
---------------------------

We are based in the United States and may process data in the United States and other countries where our service providers operate. Where required by law, we will use appropriate safeguards for international data transfers.

Depending on your US state of residence and applicable law, you may have rights such as:

- Access to personal data we hold about you
- Correction of inaccurate personal data

We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect personal data. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
